The design has a Guatemalan Indian look to it, and is in excellent condition. The embroidery is loaded with color and covers the bottom half of the skirt and a band at the waist. It has cobalt, orchid, fuchsia, neon pink, magenta, and black and white in a geometric, nonsensical print. It has an attached tie at the waist, and is a wrap around with a button closure. It is in layers of alternating print fabrics in cotton, and flares from about the hips. There is a trim of satin ribbon at each layer, and it is very long. Click photo to enlarge	This is a newer skirt, probably from the 80's with a retro, 60's box pleat look. It is simple and adorable. Made in France by "Rodier Paris." The photos make it look black and blue, but it is actually chocolate-colored and cobalt-blue plaid. It's made of soft wool and acrylic, and isn't scratchy. It feels more like fleece than wool. It is fully lined in satin. It has side pockets and a single box pleat at the front and banded waist that closes with a button and zipper.
