I have a peculiar
fascination with suits. Perhaps it's because I live in the
southwestern part of the United States, where jeans and t-shirts
are the all-occasion attire; fine for working in the yard, but it seems
a little out of place in a four-star restaurant. I am originally
from the midwest, and it shows. I can't wait for an occasion to
wear my chic vintage attire ~~ is a trip to the grocery store occasion
enough?

Vintage 1970's, 100% virgin wool
2-pc women's suit by PENDLETON. It is navy blue, and fully lined
with one tiny lapel pocket and 2 faux hip pockets on front of jacket. Also 2
buttons in front. Slight a-line skirt has 1 button and zipper in back.
Jacket: bust-34", waist-31", hips-35", length-24", sleeves from under arm to
wrist-18 1/2". Skirt: waist-24", length-28". Great condition.

Vintage 1980's or 1990's 2-pc
skirt suit by CHAD STEVENS LTD. Says size 8. It is wool, with 40%
rayon, and the lining is 100% acetate, and has tiny vertical stripes of
burnished gold, polished gold, brick, stone, and onyx. Blazer jacket has 1
breast pocket and 2 hip pockets in front. Also has 1 large oblong golden
button at neckline in front. Other buttons are hidden under a placket.
Bust-39", waist-37", hips-39", length-32", sleeve from under arm to wrist-16
1/2". Skirt has button and zipper in back and a 6" slit. Waist-26' to 28"
(has a little elastic at sides), length-25". Great condition.

Vintage 1970's 3-pc suit (
jacket with pants and skirt - mix/match). Vertically striped with woodsy
brown, and whitewash, and one color in between the 2. Jacket has collar, and
2 pearly sauvignon colored buttons with buttons off to side and 3/4 length
cuffed sleeves. Bust-39", waist-35", length-21 1/2", sleeve from under arm
to end-11". Pants are pleated and have zip back. Waist-24", inseam-32",
rise-13". Skirt is slightly a-line, pleated and zips in back. Waist-24",
length-27 1/2". Suit comes with matching 30" belt, but nothing has loops for
it. Great condition.

JANA DONN'S vintage 1960's, 2-pc
dress skirt suit. Fully lined. Has rough texture reminding me of raw silk, a
fancy notched collar, faux pockets, and big round golden buttons. It is
oatmeal colored. Jacket: bust-40", waist-39", length-25", sleeve from under
arm to end-11". Skirt zips in back. Waist-29", length-26". Great condition.

Fully lined vintage 1970's 2 pc
skirt suit. Toffee, snow, fire, and turquoise all woven in together into a
tweed like appearance. Jacket has collar and lapel, 2 toffee buttons, 1
breast pocket, and 2 hip pockets in front. In back are toffee suede
elbow patches, and back pleat for extra movement capabilities and comfort.
At top and bottom of pleat are 2 tiny toffee suede triangles. There is
also one of these at top of slit in front of skirt. Bust-39", waist-35",
length-26", sleeve from under arm to end-16". Skirt has zipper in back and
12" slit in front. Waist-28", length-30". Great condition.

Vintage 1970's 3-pc suit by
PENDLETON including a jacket with skirt and pants. 100% pure virgin wool.
Plaid with Kelly green, butterscotch, and snow white. Jacket and pants are
fully lined. Jacket is collared, and has 2 side pockets, and a tie belt with
loops. Button down. Bust-39", waist-38", length-24", sleeve from under arm
to end-17". Pants snap and zip in back. Waist-31", inseam-about 30",
rise-13". Skirt buttons down front with pewter plastic buttons. Slight
a-line. Waist-29", length-28". Great condition.

Vintage 1980's 2 pc skirt suit by
STEVEN MICHAELS. It is dove gray linen with charcoal spots and is
fully lined. Jacket has slightly poufed shoulders collar, breast
pocket, and pleats at waist and two buttons side by side above pleats.
Bust-37", waist-34", length--23", sleeve from under arm to end-15". Skirt
buttons and zips in back. Waist-28", length-25 1/2". Great condition.

Yummy deep raspberry colored JH
COLLECTIBLES skirt and blazer. It is late 80's, but looks like it just came
off the rack. My camera didn't capture the true raspberry color, but it is
gorgeous. The fabric is LAINE, but I have no idea what that it. I would best
describe it as like a hooked, heavily textured woven look. It is accented
with gorgeous bright gold buttons. Both pieces are fully lined in raspberry
colored satin and free of stains, tears or odors. It has a pencil style
skirt with a zippered and button closure. It is simply elegant and such a
wonderful color. Both skirt and jacket are size 10. Skirt: waist is 26",
hips measured 9" below waist are 37", length is 24 1/2". Jacket: bust is
34", length is 29", sleeves are 14 1/2" from under arm.

Adorable, watermelon-colored
1960's "Butte Knit" suit. It is made of a nubby wool knit that feels
like cotton. Definitely is not scratchy. The shawl collar is
crochet with a white stripe, as well as the pockets and the trim at the
wrist. The front has round textured buttons and bust darts. The
jacket almost looks like a cardigan. The skirt is cut to fit snugly to
the knees. It has a button and zipper closure. There is a seam
on the skirt where it has loosened and will need a few hand stitches, but
nothing major. Otherwise, the suit is in excellent condition.
Jacket measures: bust is 36", length is 22 1/2". Skirt measures"
waist is 26", hips are 36", length is 27".
