MEASURING FOR THE CORRECT FIT
We do our best to describe our merchandise as best we can, and are careful to
take accurate measurements and inventory of the condition of our merchandise.
When measuring for fit, please follow our basic instructions to ensure your
measurements will serve as a size comparison. All clothing is measured
unstretched (if it stretches) unless description says otherwise. Here's
how we measure:
Blouses, tops and shirts:
1. Arm length is measured from under armpit to wrist hem.
2. Bust/chest measured from armpit, across the chest to the other
armpit, then measurement is doubled.
3. Length is measured from shoulder to hem.
4. Waist is measured across where a normal waist would fall and
then doubled.
Skirts and dresses:
1. Waist is measured across where a normal waist would fall and
then doubled.
2. Skirt length is measured from waistband to hem.
3. Dress length is measured from shoulder to hem.
4. Hips are measured 9" below the waist, then that
measurement is doubled.
Pants:
1. Inseam is measured from crotch along inside of leg to hem.
2. Waist is measured across natural waist then doubled.
Slips:
1. Length is measured from under armpit to hem on
full slip, and from waistband to hem on a half slip.
2. Hips measured 9" below the waist, then that measurement is
doubled.
3. Bust measured across chest from armpit to armpit, then doubled.
Shoes:
Shoes are measured on the inside of the shoe along the bottom from toe to heel.
Width is measured on the sole, across the ball of the foot.

A word about vintage clothing:
A lot of vintage clothing is not in mint condition. Due to age and
normal wear and tear, it's frequent that I find an imperfection or two.
A majority of my items are vintage, in above-average or mint condition,
free of excessive wear or other damage, unless specifically noted in the
description. I would never deliberately omit mentioning a
flaw, and all of my clothing is in wearable condition, whether vintage
or newer.
